Making Impact Accessible.

Altruisa is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to making it easier for communities to support local nonprofits through technology.

Whether it’s a crisis thousands of miles away, or a local shelter you unknowingly walk past each day, there is yet to be a platform that raises awareness around local issues and effectively shares ways for you to get involved.

Altruisa’s priority is to leverage low-cost technology to achieve our mission of promoting activism and generating lasting change.

Our Story.

When the world first stumbled in 2020, it was the Australian wildfires. We re-shared viral posts and spread resources to support the Australian communities. Just weeks later, a global crisis hit much closer to home, turning all of our lives upside down - but the turmoil of 2020 did not end there. From violent anti-Asian attacks to getting our voices heard in BLM protests, we repeatedly witnessed the performative re-sharing of Instagram stories without any action.

As donors to national charities, we wanted to do more and support our local community but found it difficult to find reliable information. That’s when we realized there is yet to be a platform that meaningfully drives community activism and makes impact accessible.

Altruisa’s mission is to make it easy for anyone with a desire to help to be able to do so with ease.

Our Mission Statement

To educate and connect communities to impact making organizations and their activities, and to improve the general welfare of these communities.

Our Vision

To be the platform for Altruism.
